A Big 'Ol Thank You

This is a Thank You to our local 84 Lumber. They have stepped up to the plate and donated ALL the materials needed to make the modifications to my parents house to accommodate for my brother when he comes home. This was important b/c with the economy and everything else that comes with it, money has been really tight for my parents and they were extremely worried about how they were going to come up with the money to make the changes. Also, with his release date so close, the ADA has to come in and approve the changes / modifications and that the home is safe for him to enter.

So, if you need materials for any home projects coming up, please consider 84 Lumber. They went above and beyond and for that we Thank them.

Day 3 - No Smoking

Three days already! Things are going well. Still no craving for a cig. Habit is trying to get the best of me. When I was in my vehicle, I would always keep my cigs in the door pocket - easy to get to, and they can't fall out. Every time I have left work for lunch, I catch myself digging in the door, only to recover my Anti Smoking medicine. Nice reminder. I just laugh at myself when I do it.

Do I want to smoke? No.

Keeping busy has been the best thing I could do. I can smell better, I feel better & my clothes and hair smell much better (I had no idea how good my shampoo/conditioner really smelled).

There will be a call to my Doctor Monday morning, Thanking her for this chance. It may sound silly to some people, but if you have never smoked before then you have no idea HOW HARD IT IS TO QUIT. It's like crack. Literally. So to overcome such a habit/addiction, it is a huge deal. If you know someone who has quit - give them props. If you know someone who is trying to quit, recommend Chantix (that's what I'm taking) and have some patience/ sympathy for them - it's hard.

Day 1 - No Smoking

It is 2:30 and I have not had a cig. since I woke up. The medicine is really working, I don't crave it. But I am confused as to what to do with my down time. My normal smoke break times at work--- what am I supposed to do? Nothing? Or do I go outside and take a short walk? At home when I am done everything else and I am ready to relax, what do I do?

I DO NOT WANT TO REPLACE SMOKING WITH FOOD

Ok, I feel better.

Any suggestions?

A Better Picture of Me

Girlfriend Is On A Mission

Life changing goals.

If you want to be at the top of your game, please raise your hand...........?!?!?!

Mine is so high it hurts right now --- literally. This year has brought about alot of changes for me. Besides the issues with my brother and my "other" family, I have:

1. Started exercising daily - mostly.
2. Thursday is my quit smoking goal. I have been taking Chantix for the last week.
3. College is almost done.
4. New career is right around the corner.
5. Still in the process of learning how to eat healthier.

I feel different. Alive might be the right word for it. Whatever it is, it feels good. What are the rest of you working on to improve yourself?

2 Exams Down, 2 More To Go

I passed my 2nd exam. WOO HOO :!!!!!!!!

2 more to go then I am done, which should be sometime in June.....maybe......

Wish me luck

New Hairdo

After wanting this style for about a year, I finally got it done. Now you can not see the whole thing, but the underside of my hair is a deep auburn and the top is blond. Never in my life have I gotten soo many compliments about my hair. A couple girls even fondled it. That was creepy. I almost feel like a girly girl.

A Good Question For Everyone

Most people do not get the opportunity to invest time or even work in a field that most excites them. The average person ends up doing what society expects them to do as far as careers or your life path (marriage, babies, divorce, ect..)

If you were given all the resources in the world and money didn't matter, what would you be doing? Would you change careers, husbands, where you live? Would you even know WHAT you wanted to do or become?

This should get interesting..........
EDITED: What I mean by resources, and money not being an issue is..... if education was free, and everyone was encouraged to do what they feel they were put here to do... your dream job, what are you passionate about? What is a secret skill or wish you have, relating to this? Sorry if I was confusing.... :(
